Background

eaas.global introduces the Energy As A Service (EAAS) token. Through the tokenization of green energy, the platform offers investors diversification, reinvestment opportunities or tax benefits. Complementing this, the platform features an innovative EV charger product, facilitating peer-to-peer energy exchange.

This technology not only streamlines electric vehicle charging but also promotes eco-friendly energy consumption across residential, commercial, and public sectors.

Project brief

Creation of explainer video and social media posts for EAAS.global. One of the hurdles was to meet the short deadline.

Project scope

Pre-production

In the Eaas explainer video, I oversaw the entire process and collaborated with script experts and voice-over artists. I assembled and discussed crucial information such as target audience, business goals, animation style, and length of the explainer video.

For projects with longer deadlines, I create an animatic at the end of this stage. An animatic is a series of images played in sequence with a soundtrack; essentially, it's an animated storyboard. The goal of an animatic is to define the timing for a piece of moving image. It is crucial to approve this phase of the project before moving to the next one to avoid extending the working deadline. Any changes to the script or voice-over affect scenes and animation dynamics.

Production

I created visuals and animated footage according to the script and storyboard. Enhanced engagement with carefully chosen music.

Post-production

At this final stage, the animation took shape as a finished product. Footage was compiled, sound was recorded and added, and the final touches were applied to the animations.

From scratch

I gathered all the client's requirements and video distribution plans to suggest relevant legal usage licences for voice-over, SFX, and music. I drew each scene to capture the idea and flow, then collaborated with the client's team to incorporate their ideas and create a storyboard.

To animation

Due to the restricted timeline, I created a very simple animation to tell the story.

Conclusion

Every topic can be turned into a compelling story. During this quick project, facing the time constraint was the most challenging. However, I realized that achieving efficiency was attainable. A thriving project requires the very first explainer video to launch MVP as soon as possible and revise assumptions to fit the market.
